During each pre-school session we provide a broad range of challenging and stimulating play activities. The children have use of a large hall, a quiet room with a lending library and an outside play area.
The pre-school curriculum is planned in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum as set out by the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority (QCA).
The areas of learning and development encompass:
- Language, Literacy and Communication
- Problem Solving, Reasoning and Numeracy
- Knowledge and Understanding of the World
- Physical Development
- Personal, Social and Emotional Development
The quality of educational provision is monitored by Ofsted and the Local Authority. Click here for details of our latest Ofsted inspection.
We provide children with up to five pre-school sessions per week, offering up to 15 hours of government-funded provision. There is the opportunity for the oldest children to join afternoon sessions, giving them additional preparation for starting school. Click here for our session times.
Our catchment area includes both Caversham and Emmer Green.
We feed into all the local and surrounding area primary schools.
